My Vision For America

Capitalism Vs. Socialism? That Would Be Sufficient If Man Were Economic Man But He/She Isn’t.
Wish there were a Presidential candidate espousing my values, but there isn’t. So let me tell you what they are.
First, I would say America is in Crisis. It’s not an economic crisis, but a spiritual crisis. We see that crisis in the mass shootings. We see that crisis in our soldiers awash in PTSD. We see that crisis in widespread depression. We see that crisis in widespread drug addiction. We see that crisis in our lost of confidence in Congress, the Media, and Authority Figures like the Police.
The answer is to uplift the Spirit of man/people. How do we do that?
We need a Presidential candidate who will say – I promise to put you first. I promise to value human life and the needs of people.
I know you have economic needs and I will bring with me into the White House the best economic experts I can find who will work to keep our economy healthy and strong.
But I know that is not enough.
I see our soldiers awash in PTSD and I promise never to make war a means of foreign policy, but only to make it a means of last resort when our backs our to the wall and we have no other choice.
I hear the message of mass shootings and widespread depression and widespread drug addiction and I promise to work toward policies that will lift the spirit of man/people.
It will start with an overhaul of education. I will work for choice in education. I will set up model programs to help us find a new direction in education.
This new direction will replace authoritarian models of education with a teacher/authority standing in front of a classroom with collaborative models.
The goal of this more collaborative model will be to have students and teachers working together to help every student to achieve their potential. In the case of students with serious mental impairments who cannot do that, to have parents and teachers work together to help every child to reach their potential.
This Administration will be inspired with the belief people are different and so require different educational experiences according to their nature, natural inclinations.
The idea of personality type will be important in giving students an educational experience that matches their unique learning styles.
We will never use a single textbook or a single source of information. We will use multitexts, and technology to help us individualize education. There will be educational modules will children can work at their own pace to master concepts and skills that are important to them.
From the very beginning there will be facilitators to help them set goals and and help them to achieve their goals.
Because one requirement of the human spirit is that they be active participants in their own learning, as they will be active participants later in our constitutional republic.
The lost of meaning that we see all around us comes from introjecting the meaning from those outside ourselves. This Administration will facilitate people finding meaning from inside themselves, thinking long and hard about their own values and crafting their lives to live by those personal values.
A central tenet of this Administration will be that meaning comes from being who we are, from developing our gifts and from using those gifts to help us to get the life we want and for the benefit of society and humanity. Because what society needs is every person attaining their highest potential.
We hear a lot about Medicare for all, about our need to address the question of healthcare.
If I were President, I would take this country in the direction of functional medicine. I would help us to reorient our healthcare system from one that treated symptoms to one that addresses causes.
My goal would be to create a true healthcare system that emphasized health – how do we create health in our society. Information would be a big part of that. Nutritional information would be an ongoing part of that – Food as Medicine would be an ongoing part of that.
Lifestyle information would be another ongoing part of that. The question the healthcare system would ask is what information do Americans need to keep healthy, to restore their health when illness strikes.
And we would not seek to enrich Big Pharma, constantly default to Big Pharma solutions, but put on the table a variety of solutions, particularly more natural solutions than we have heretofore seen.
Foreign Policy. Our Foreign Policy would emphasize a systems approach. If I were President I would fill the State Department, my Administration with System Thinkers.
Economic Policy. My economic policy would not focus on just producing things, but rather focus on policies that helped people to meet their needs – psychological needs as well as physical - not by giving them fish, but by helping them to learn how to fish, be productive, the best they can be, active participants in the workplace, encouraging worker owned workplaces where possible.
Working with Congress. If I were President I would work toward encouraging multiple parties in place of the two party system we now have. It is clear to me both the Republican and Democratic Parties often put first the interests of the Republican and Democratic Parties first, rather than representing the interest of the American people.
I think the solutions to that is to empower more voices, multiple political parties, to represent, give a voice to the variety of different interests, different people who make up our population.
Those would be the pillars of my new Agenda for the nation. Choice and Renewal in Education, a more individualized educational experience, that empowered the student, making him or her an Active participant in their education, to facilitate their becoming an Active participant in our Constitutional Republic.
Another pillar of my administration would be a dedication to functional medicine, a healthcare system that treated causes rather than symptoms, that gave people the information they need to keep healthy.
Another pillar of my administration would be a New Foreign Policy based on Systems Thinking.
And I would not assemble a Team of Opposites as Obama did, but rather a Team who shared my values, who shared my vision for change.
A large part of that vision would be to address the loss of meaning that has struck our outer directed society. I would facilitate the finding of meaning within by unfolding our natures, developing our gifts and finding the right environments where people could share their gifts with others, giving them a sense of belonging, a sense of being a part of one constantly growing, constantly evolving whole.
